Time flies by so fast

The family reunion was alot of fun, met relatives we hadn't met before, and some we haven't seen in ages. And then also got to reconnect with the family we see periodically. All I can say to this is "I love my family"!!!
In August, Dustan left to go work in Colorado Springs, under my cousin Elaine and her husband Dominque. Dustan says he loves it there and enjoys working (which I never though he would say that). I am happy for him and thankful to Elaine and Dominque.
Brittany started workin at Safeway in the Deli department, a few months ago. She enjoys her work, and is even cross-training to get more hours.
Wesley is working for me at home, we are trying to finish our yard before fall gets here. He also needs to take his GED test so he can further his learning on becoming a paid welder.
Me, I work, and go with the flow. I love my job for the most part, but some of the older techs have too much time on their hands and have nothing better to do than harrass people. So guess that makes one a stronger person.
We are planning to trip for Labor Day back to Kamiah for BBQ days, which is a big celebration for our town and also is the kick off for football season. We are looking forward to going and seeing old friends again.

IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR

I have not written in a long time, but time has been flying by.
I finished my class and became a radiological Control tech, I have also taken my rectification test, passing with a 94.
The family reunion is over, allot of work, but worth it in the end.

I think I miss the stress, but am hoping to start online classes this fall, going into nuclear physics. I finally found something I really enjoy that is a stable career, and isn't so demanding.

The kids are growing up quickly, and are now young adults.

Nicholas should be done with basic training, he was at Ft Benning, GA, going to be a paratrooper. I pray this helps him mature and realize the lies he has been told many years while with his dad.

Dustan, wants to be a chef/baker, I tried to talk him out of it but he just loves culinary arts.

Brittany, is working at Safeway at the deli, and plans to resume college this fall also.

Wesley, need I say more,, he is going to get his GED this fall and am putting him in a union so he can be an apprentice, as he wants to be a welder.

CLASS IS OVER AND I HAVE A NEW JOB

After 8 long months of studying and tests, I now have a great job and am loving it so far. My new career is a RCT/HPT in the nuclear field. I am finding it very interesting and have become interested in the history of WWII.

Dustan dropped out of the Job Corps program in July and is now getting ready to go to Flordia and hopes to start college there.

Brittany starts Columbia Basin Community College on the 14th of September, she is looking forward to having a degree and a good job.

Wesley is still waiting to go to the Job Corps, and is still wanting to be a welder.

Weekends Off

I am not working right now on weekends, this was my first weekend off and am loving it! And to make it better, I had a 3-day weekend.

Friday, we headed out and went to my aunt and uncles for their 50th wedding anniversary. Wesley, whom did not really want to go, had such a great time he didn't really want to leave. He said it would be good if they all lived closer so we could visit more often.

And thanks to FB and Blogging, I felt like I knew my cousins and their families better, as I can keep up on what they are doing, and the kids (the kids are just great).

This was an awesome weekend and gave me the second wind I needed to become excited again for the family reunion as I was beginning to dread it. I am excited about it, and have already started looking for prizes for the games and stuff for the auction.

Please see the Hartman reunion blog and be prepared to win in 2010!

I have volunteered to make the birthday cakes for the school bus transportation department, the first cake is January's B-days, I didnt think of taking a picture till I had the lid on the cake taking it to the bus lot so it didnt turn out to well,

Spring is coming,,,slowly

We have had crazy weather here the past month. While driving my route (which is a total of 22 miles) I encountered, hail, snow, sun, wind, and more sun. The kids were amazed at half one block could be all sunny and the other half was having a snow storm.
March 20th on my calender marks the first day of spring, and I am wondering what to plant in my garden. I got sod last night for the yard and am busy painting and getting ready to move in in May. I will have more time soon as the 15th will be my last weekend to work, I am taking some time off.

I will be going to Weenache, WA on the 19th, to Ephrata, and Moses Lake on the 20th and 21st, then after taking the Hanford High School Track team to Kennewick, I leave for a week at my mom's for spring break. I look forward to time off.

As time flys by. . .

I cannot believe how time flys, it seems like just yesterday we took this photo, now they are at the end of the teen years, spreading their wings to leave the nest.

Dustan started Job Corps in Dec, a week before the Christmas break, then went back Jan. 4th. He is almost done with his GED now and has started Culinary Arts Training, and he is planning on going on in his trade to California to get experience and fine tune his skills. I hope he changes his mind and goes to MA, but time will tell.
Brittany left for Job Corps also on February 10th, she is excited and starts her testing tomorrow for education placement. She is not old enough to go into the field she wants so she plans to do business then go into the pharmacy tech.
Wesley asked me tonight if we could start his paper work for him to go also. He does not like the school here and has lost interest in it. He wants to be a welder and has had done some welding in the past with Mr. Hibbs a friend in Kamiah, Idaho.

While taking Dustan back to school yesterday; Dustan, Brittany and I got to see my Uncle Phil and Aunt Barbara Hartman. It was really good to see them again, even though I got horribly lost trying to find them.

Wesley wanted to stay home, he said we left to early for him, plus he didn't want the girls (our beagles Cindy and Betty) to stay in their crate that long. How thoughtful he is.
